FAQ

Do you have to be OLD or a MAN to run with you guys?

No. We encourage anyone to come run with us.  It's just a silly name we came up with when we started running together.

I heard you guys are an Asian run crew but can anyone show up?

It just so happens that a lot of people that run with us are Asian, but we are by no means an 'Asian Run Crew'.  We really don't like to be called that.  The 3 Founders are Asian, that's really about it.

How do I sign up for a run?

There are no sign ups or fees to run with OMRC.  We post information to our runs in our 'Coming Up' section each Friday and all you've gotta do is show up, not be a jerk to people and follow standard street rules.

I'm new to running and am not fast or can't go long but I still want to run with you.  Can I still come?

Yes, please do! One of our goals is to introduce long distances to new Athletes.  Just let one of the Captains know you're new and we'll make sure someone sticks with you for the duration.  We typically go at for at least 8 miles and stay within the boroughs of NYC. You are free to drop out wherever you need to.  We typically offer mobile bag check and will have a stop around the midway point and finish if you need to grab your belongings.

Do you guys meet up outside of Saturdays?

We are a Saturday morning long run crew only.  Once in a blue moon we may schedule something outside of a Saturday, however, in general we're old and have jobs and families and this is all we're able to commit to.

I thought you don't sell your merch?

We didn't either.  This was born from the fact that our hats didn't make it in time for our yearly NYC Marathon Popup.  That said, what you're seeing are mainly hats and what we have left over from the popup hence the limited quantities.  Lets see how this goes?

How do I get a singlet, I wanna rep!

You have to earn your (tiger) stripes! These are given to Athletes that continually show up to our runs and contribute wherever they can to help keep us up and running.  It's also a timing thing, you gotta be at one of our runs at the right time!
